CD Release
The new album «Betreutes Schreiben» consists of compositions by members of the orchestra – personal pieces that were created over the past few years and showcase how diverse and individual the voices of jugendjazzorchester.ch sound. The project was made possible thanks to a successful crowdfunding campaign, whose support enabled us to record and release the music.
The pieces were created as part of the MPC – Mentoring Composing Program, in which orchestra members were able to develop and refine their ideas. The composition process was accompanied and supported by Benjamin Weidekamp and Michael Haves, who worked with the composers and provided guidance over an extended period of time.
“Betreutes Schreiben” stands for developing ideas together, experimenting, and trusting in one’s own ideas. At the same time, the album marks the musical conclusion of our 10th anniversary – a beautiful ending and, at the same time, a new beginning.
